A Late Urban

Oxford - Gold Collection

"Oxford Street is Europe’s busiest shopping street with over 300 shops providing the latest tends and fashions to discerning customers. 'Oxford' EDP captures this vivacious energy with a light, zesty fragrance that is abundantly warm and enveloping."

With citrus top notes and mid notes of lavender and jasmine energised with rich grapefruit this is invigorating, very fresh and exuberant .

The Cobra & The Canary - Imaginary Authors

"Hot, hazy weekdays when you can put your life on hold and enjoy a simple luxury like a fast drive in a pristine 1964 Shelby Cobra Roadster through the country."

Enjoy a hit of lemon and then relax into the leather seats of the roadster and take a deep breath of smoke, tires and summer dried hay fields. A very contemporary fragrance.

Notes: Lemon, Orris, Tobacco Flowers, Leather, Hay Fields & Asphalt

Almost Transparent Blue

"Taken to calling it calm, you sit for a moment in the sunlight. The air around you shifts slightly, a strand of hair out of place, the rubbish scuttling past. You slit your eyes open to see glistening on the water’s surface. Stay here until.  Stay here just long enough. Stay here as the crisp and desolate becomes still so you might breathe in––immense, wave-filled and clouded."

A great unisex woody /citrus fragrance. I like the thyme and Hinoki wood addition which makes it very aromatic and clean. The aldehydes bring in the crispness which is made almost vapoury by the base of cedar and musk - from a summer morning into a hazy afternoon.
Notes: Top: lime, yuzu Mid: thyme flower, aldehyde Dry: hinoki, cedar wood, musk

Saint Clement's

“Oranges and lemons say the bells of St. Clement’s”

"A traditional Eau de Cologne translated into a chic, contemporary, fresh, English Eau de Parfum whose name is taken from the rhyme ‘Oranges and Lemons’ (circa 1740) that refers to church bells within or close to the City of London. Oranges, lemons, bergamot, and neroli combine with notes of Earl Grey tea and vetiver to create a new English classic."

This is pure summertime. Orange exceeds the lemon initially but then its zest comes through. Earl grey tea note sharpened by vetiver blends beautifully. This is a classic no doubt but with a fresh modern twist.

Summer brings us even more olfactory challenges especially in an urban environment. Blossoming life breaks through the haze and exhaust bringing a much needed seasonal refreshment. Light, warmth and revery allows us for a time, to forget the metallic taint and dullness of an ever encroaching metropolis.

I am a Dandelion

"I love them because they are fearless. Dandelions will grow anywhere and will go where they please. Although I prefer to see them in the country, I am delighted to meet them unexpectedly in the middle of my industrial neighborhood here in New York. I find something inspiring in the courage of a single yellow adventurous head sprouting from the cracked concrete."

"This perfume is the simple scent of a Dandelion newly picked from the lawn."

A surprisingly sweet floral fragrance - for CB it is quite romantic in its way.  Opening with a strong green note softening into light but sweetened summer blossoms. Nice and summery that leaves a longlasting floral impression.

Summer

N6 Londoner

"A modern chypre with top notes consisting of crisp bergamot, English fruit and pink pepper, mellowing to a delicious and warm heart of rose, jasmine, caramel, amber and sandalwood."

Encompasses north London's green heritage. Walking on Hampstead Heath taking in its greenery but still influenced by its urban location - through the green you can still identify the greyness of cars and concrete. A fruity top note including peach and raspberry teams up with pink pepper to prepare you to dive into the floral spice of clove and roses with a woody finish that includes sandalwood and patchouli quite the headiest of the 'Londoner ' fragrance collection.
