La Fumée Ottoman is an ode to Constantinople, the crossroads of East and West. A modern tribute to the incense road of antiquity, a trade route along which precious resins were transported to Mediterranean ports. Arabian frankincense and sweetly balsamic myrrh blend with the unmistakable scent of cumin and the plush velvet of deep Turkish roses. Cedar, mixed with a dense vanilla, provides tinder for the smoke.

Made for Sarah's sister to replicate the familiar scent of their father's Victorian oak cupboard where he kept his hats and gloves, this is a scent with a real story to it. An opening of mint, juniper berries and lavender is the embodiment of a classic gentleman's cologne, with its hints of bracingly fresh spice. Grapefruit yields a sharp citrus note that adds freshness to the top notes, while anise serves to temper this sharpness with its nuanced spicy character. Heart notes of cedar, sandalwood and black pepper provide the fragrance with a distinctively woody, rich, and resinous character, mirroring the scent of the cupboard itself. Ylang ylang and rose lend a clean refreshing floral character to these otherwise heavy middle notes, imbuing the fragrance with a level of depth and sophistication. In the base, warm tobacco is met with dry, bitter vetiver, reinforcing the masculine character of the scent, before sweet vanilla and complex cacao nibs finish the fragrance in elegant fashion.
